We supervise the establishment of agro-processing plants, silos, and milling factories to enhance food production and sustainability in our communities.

Indigenous Seed Preservation

To preserve our agricultural heritage, we ensure the preservation of indigenous seeds and promote their seasonal uses.

Abattoir Development

We oversee the development of an abattoir to support livestock production and processing for Bakwena ba Mogopa.

Mutual Bank

We are focused on establishing a Mutual Bank to provide financial services tailored to the needs of our people, fostering financial independence.

Trade Expansion

In collaboration with Bakwena ba ga Kgabo in Botswana and Namibia, we manage initiatives to expand trade relations, benefiting our people through regional partnerships.

Our Heritage Building Sites

At Bakwena Development Programmes, we are deeply committed to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Bakwena ba Mogopa people. Our heritage sites are not just historical landmarks; they are symbols of our identity, resilience, and the enduring legacy of our ancestors. These sites tell the stories of where we come from, and they remind us of the traditions, values, and experiences that have shaped our nation.

Collaboration and Support
  • To achieve our vision, we actively engage with stakeholders, including traditional and private landowners, the private sector, government, and businesspeople, to foster a cohesive and structured approach to development. We also seek financial support from the Bakwena ba Mogopa Tribal Trust Fund and other sources to fund projects that benefit our people.
  • We encourage businesspeople and entrepreneurs to create synergies that contribute to the realization of our collective vision for self-determination and sustainable growth.

At Bakwena Development Programmes, we are committed to leading with integrity, vision, and a deep respect for our heritage, while always striving to create new opportunities for the future.
